KellyKelly Clarkson in her full Kelly Brianne Clarkson was an American musician and singer who became famous after she was crowned American Idol's contest for talent in 2002. Clarkson grew up in Burleson, Texas, a suburb of Fort Worth, where her voice talent was first recognized by her school's choir teacher when she was just a seventh-grade student. Following her graduation from high school Clarkson was sent into Los Angeles to try to make it in the showbiz. Following her return to Texas and completing her high school, she was selected as an contestant in the inaugural season of the American Idol, a show broadcast by the Fox Broadcasting Company. American Idol, a singing competition that allowed viewers to choose their favorite performer. The viewers were in love with Clarkson's captivating voice, charisma, as well as her wit. Her prize was $1 million, and she also signed a recording agreement with RCA.
